Malaysia Asian Championship Qualifers Summer

It seems ironic that it is called ACQ Summer since neither Malaysia nor Singapore has four seasons...

Player: Yeo Gou Jie "Alex"
Date: 28th May - 29th May
Source: Facebook
Malaysia Yugioh ACQ Summer
Deck used: True Draco Zoodiac
Result: 1st

Day 1 - Swiss rounds
Rd 1 True Draco Zoodiac (先) OO
Rd 2 True Draco Zoodiac (先) OO
Rd 3 Infernoid (先) OXO
Rd 4 True Draco WW (先) OO
Rd 5 True Draco Zoodiac (后) OO
Rd 6 True Draco (先) XOX
Rd 7 True Draco 不打

Day 2 - Swiss rounds
Rd 1 True Draco Zoodiac (后) OO
Rd 2 True King Dino (后) OXO
Rd 3 True King Zoodiac 不战胜
Rd 4 True King Zoodiac (先) XX
Rd 5 True King Zoodiac 不战输

Top 8 - True Draco Zoodiac (先) OXO
Top 4 - True Draco (后) OO
Finals - Pure Zoodiac (先) OXO

As noted by the Alex himself on his Facebook post, the 不战输 refers to a double loss which he received during the event.

不战胜 implies that the round was a 'Bye' and victory was attained without a match.

For our TCG readers, 先 is the Chinese character for 'First', indicating he went first for the match, whereas 后 means 'After', which in this context implies that he was leading second for the first games of those matches.

Note:
  • English/TCG cards, or cards of any language apart from Asian-English, Japanese or Official Traditional Chinese, are not allowed for ACQ events. The Terraforming present in the image is very likely to Asian-English.
    • Elaborating on this matter, many TCG players have asked me before if TCG cards were allowed in OCG events. The answer is that small weekly events, even official Ranking Tournaments - YES. Casual Tournaments held by shop owners - YES. Official large scale events such as Yugioh Open Tournament (YOT) or Asian Championship Qualifers (ACQ) - NO
  •  It is common for Zoodiac True Draco variants to run Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King at three and Dinomight Knight, the True Dracofighter at two. This is because with the help of the Zoodiac engine, with monsters and Fire Formation - Tenki it is easier to bring out Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King without devoting too much resources into the summon. Even if so, resources can be easily recuperated and earned back via the Zoodiac engine's searches and pluses.
    • Mono True Draco and Demise True Draco will usually play Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King at 2, and max out on Dinomight Knight, the True Dracofighter.

Dueling "C" would like to extend our congratulations to Yeo Gou Jie for his victory.
If Alex's name sounded familiar to Pokemon TCG players, he is indeed the same player who won the Phillipins event after two weeks of entering the game. A short video interview/conversation can be found here.

Conclusion

True Draco continues to dominate the metagame.
The previous Singapore ACQ was won by True King Yang Zing Dino, although it faced the challenge of fighting through plenty of True Draco decks. The decklist for the True King Dino can be found on here on RoadofTheKing.
